Bright lights of Vegas

The Bellagio
We were on a mission this morning. The girls and I wanted to hit the outlet shops and Jason had a gun show to explore. So the first part of the day was sorted. We regrouped at the apartment for lunch (at 3pm) then decided to take a stroll down to the strip. Poor Jason had tried to talk us into a show, or at the very least, a buffet, as they are "what you do when you're in Vegas". We couldn't really find a show that we were absolutely enthusiastic about that was showing at the right time at the right price. And a buffet well....... it seemed an exorbitant price to pay for average food. After all Vegas was just meant to be a stopover break and not a main attraction for us.

But we did feel obliged to at least walk along the strip for a while. This proved to be the right choice as not only is it free, it is also entertaining! It didn't seem so tawdry this time around, however, it was only 7pm,....

We went to Caesar's Palace, the Bellagio, Paris and the Cosmopolitan. The casinos just have to be seen to be believed. The amount of money spent on and in them is incomprehensible. The casinos often span a city block and it is chock full of various ways to part you with your money.

The highlight was the famous dancing fountain show in front of the Bellagio set to the Christmas song "Sleigh Ride"
